Lwcus T is proud to present Rhwng Dau, the second single from Sywel Nyw’s ambitious project for 2021.

Each month of the year will see a new single featuring a different artist. In January Crio Tu Mewn featured Mark Roberts’ contribution and this month Casi Wyn collaborates.

Casi is one of Wales’ most adventurous artists and her music has been featured on radio stations across the world. She recently released a series of singles under the banner Casi and the Blind Harpist. Welsh heritage and the lanscapes of her home area have been consistent themes within her work.

Lewys and Casi are also siblings, and enjoyed the opportunity to collaborate for the first time. According to Lewys:

“This was the first time we sat down to compose together. It was a simpler process than I’d anticipated; we got on together and there were no arguments!”

Recorded during the lockdown period, the sincere lyrics of Rhwng Dau are set against the contemporary beats and melodies that have become a hallmark of both artists’ output.

Ellie Yvonne Owen of Bangor created the artwork for the single, which was compiled by Celt Iwan.

Rhwng Dau will be Track of the Week on BBC Radio Cymru on 21 February, then released digitally on 26 February.
